My name is Carol Wheatle and I am a member of the Association for Christian Counselling (ACC) and I adhere to their code of professional ethics. I work under regular supervision to ensure I am working in an ethical way to both Secular and Christian clients.
I hold a Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Counselling and various other certificates in skills, practice, motivational counselling and in basic drugs awareness and couples counselling. I am committed to continuing my learning and undertaking ongoing professional and personal development.
I am Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked, and have completed training in the safeguarding of children and young people.
I previously worked voluntarily for Manna House Counselling in Northampton (www.mannahouse.org.uk) and also for Eclipse Counselling Service in Newport Pagnell until they closed in 2018.
I have worked at the City Counselling Centre in Milton Keynes as a Counsellor with the ‘CHATS’ organisation. This involved counselling of children through play therapy. I have also worked as a counsellor in a school through my work with ‘RAINBOWS’.
My counselling skills and working experience equips me with the tools required to provide an efficient and effective counselling service moulded to meet the varying needs of my clients.
I am available to extend to you a warm, safe, confidential environment where you will not be judged or criticised in any way. I facilitate an environment that enables you to share and explore your inner thoughts and feelings. I work in a caring, responsive and sensitive way allowing you to work at your own pace. My service to you provides the support you need to take you through any changes you wish to make. Whilst we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand, resolve and give meaning to the challenges in your life.
